Organisation

The conference organization has three levels – national, Nordic and local. All levels compliment each other and enable to create multi-level synergy. If you would like to take part in the planning process, do not hesitate to contact the conference secretariat.

National steering group

Finnish national steering group started its work in February 2009. It is responsible for the conference preparations and implementation of it.

The steering group is composed of following actors:

Nordic planning group

The Nordic planning group acts as a communication platform and influences the conference programme.

Composition:
One representative from each of the Nordic Associations of Local and Regional Authorities, and from the ministry responsible for sustainable development.

Local planning group in Turku

A preparatory planning group is established in the city of Turku. It aims to bring synergy with the conference and different side events. The preparatory group enlarges as the planning process proceeds.
