The conference participants and accompanying persons have the possibility to participate in the following tours before or after the conference for addition fee.

Herrankukkaro, the old fisherman’s village
| 16.00-16.15 | The bus will pick you up from the hotel, the trip continues towards Turku archipelago and Rymättylä. |
| 17.00 | Arrival at Herrankukkaro. The host welcomes you and gives you some information about the place and its services, the history and the archipelago. The village’s welcoming drink made out of tar, is served at the beach lean-to. |
| 17.30 | After 10 hours heating – the smoke sauna is ready for you, as is the hot water barrel. Towels are included in the price. |
| 19.00 | Island Food Buffet à la Janne Koivuniemi. The best of the traditional island fare, prepared by local culinary experts. Dinner is served in a cosy indoor environment or on a terrace where the lanterns bring the light and waterfront campfires create a magical atmosphere. |
| 22.00 | Time to head back to the hotel. |

Walking tour on the banks of river Aura
| 14.30-16.30 | This tour starts at Turku Castle. During the tour, you’ll hear a comprehensive summary of Turku history, the glory days of Turku Castle, maritime history until the present, take a river cruise from Turku to Åbo on the river ferry Föri, see statues sculpted by Wäinö Aaltonen, the Pharmacy Museum, Rettig Palace, Great Old Square, and finally end up at Turku Cathedral. Those who still have the energy can climb up the Cathedral stairs and rest in the devout atmosphere. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and bring a sense of adventure! |

Design tour in Turku
| 14.30-16.30 | This two-hour walking tour introduces four design businesses. The aim of the tour is to highlight young local entrepreneurs in the design and handicrafts sector and increase customers’ knowledge of the range of businesses in the arts and crafts sector in this area. Participants will also receive a Design and Handicrafts map of Turku and Southwest Finland. The map includes a total of 58 different design and handicrafts shops, workshops and services, and makes it easy to continue the tour at your leisure. |
