Market of Solutions
The side-event, Market of Solutions, was arranged on Tuesday 1.2.2011.
The brewery restaurant Koulu became the centre for interesting discussions, new solutions and good ideas on Tuesday 1.2.2011, when the market took over the old school building. The building was crowded with exhibitioners, conference guests and local citizens. Over 1000 persons visited the mar-ket.
All the Nordic countries were presented at the market. The visitors got acquainted with turning waste heat into energy, the different possibilities to use renewable energy, for example how to utilise snow in energy production, LED-technology and ecotourism.
Recycled design such as clothes and accessories and also local food producer’s bread, juice and pastry products were popular among the visitors.
Valonia - Service Center for Sustainable Development and Energy of South-West Finland, and its pro-ject KELAA! arranged the Market of Solutions together with the conference preparation team, as a side event at the conference.
